Of the more than 50,000 Ukrainian refugees returning to the workforce in our country, more than a third worked in the Netherlands last summer. This was reported by Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
According to Statistics Netherlands, this affects nearly 18,000 Ukrainians aged 15-65 who were employed by a Dutch employer. Most of them worked as temporary or call workers or in some other form of temporary work.
Of the Ukrainian refugees, 8% have a nationality other than Ukrainian. Labor participation in this group is higher than among Ukrainians.
Since 1 April, Ukrainian refugees no longer need a work permit to work in the Netherlands. Other migrants from outside the European Union and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) require a permit.
