More than a million people do not have any dose of the anticovid vaccine in Honduras

Honduras. Dr. Karla Velásquez indicated this Sunday that more than one million 40 thousand people do not have any dose of the anticovid vaccine and another 600 thousand are pending the second dose in Honduras.

In the same way, he noted that there are two million people who have not received the third dose of the palliative.

The doctor pointed out that the fourth dose of the vaccine was authorized for after Easter, but it has already begun to be applied in sanatoriums for line personnel.

Velásquez pointed out that for the rest of the population it will be programmed according to age and medical condition.

The fourth dose should be applied four months after receiving the third, he specified.

Finally, he regretted that people no longer have the motivation to apply the vaccine, since two or three doses against Covid-19 were applied.

For his part, epidemiologist Kenneth Rodríguez estimated that an outbreak of positive cases of Covid-19 will be reported in the country about 20 days after Easter.

“After Easter, I think we are going to have a major outbreak, 20 days after this date passes,” he projected.

For these holidays, the authorities announced a massive vaccination in coordination with the Ministry of Health, they also recommend the use of a mask in closed spaces and not to separate from the family circle to avoid contagion.
