The national number of positive tests is 1413 on Monday. That is 278 more than RIVM announced on Sunday.
As far as is known, there are 12 deaths in Brabant. In the Netherlands, 24 people have now died. The Brabant coronavirus deceased come from Meierijstad (3), Tilburg (2) and Uden, Goirle, Etten-Leur, Zundert, Eindhoven, Bergen op Zoom and Boxtel with all one. Most deaths are often older patients with underlying health problems. It is unclear how many corona patients are better again.
The largest increase in the number of registered patients is in Tilburg. In a day, 16 more were added, bringing the total to 84. However, Breda still has the highest total number with 86. There were 15 more within 24 hours. Of all 62 municipalities in our province, only corona patients are known in Baarle-Nassau, Grave, Reusel-De Mierden, Valkenswaard and Woensdrecht.

Actual number of infections
The actual number of infections is higher than the RIVM figure, says Sjaak de Gouw of the GGD. “There are probably also many people with minor complaints, who simply look at home and do not report, but may have the virus. This virus causes mild complaints in 80 percent.” Only people who have a fever are advised to call the doctor.
People who have minor complaints and who come from Northern Italy are also not tested. Since Friday, this also applies to housemates of people who have the virus and who have complaints themselves, even if that is a fever. According to the RIVM, the fact that they are no longer being tested is due to the ‘increased workload and the threat of scarcity of test material’. These people are already in quarantine and according to the RIVM, testing has ‘no added value from a public health point of view’. According to GGD physician De Gouw, performing tests are especially relevant to know where the virus appears in the Netherlands, so that measures can be taken there.
After Brabant, the most positively tested persons were reported in the province of Limburg (149), the province of Utrecht (140) and South Holland (136).
