MPPS Press. – This Thursday, September 5, 2024, the health personnel of the popular clinic “Los Centauros”, together with the team of the General Alfredo Franco Type I Outpatient Clinic, carried out a door-to-door medical care day in the community of Los Centauros, an urban development in the municipality of San Fernando in the state of Apure. In this activity, more than 90 families in the town were served.
During the day, 50 patients were immunized with pentavalent, toxoid and yellow fever vaccines. In addition, care was provided to patients with chronic non-communicable diseases and home visits were made to ensure adequate follow-up.
Students of Comprehensive Community Medicine also joined the initiative, offering an educational talk on breast cancer prevention, focusing on the importance of early diagnosis.
As part of this activity, medicines were delivered free of charge, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving public health. This effort is part of the health policies promoted by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, who seeks to offer quality and dignified care to the most vulnerable communities in the state of Apure. And all this in conjunction with the Minister of People’s Power for Health Magaly Gutiérrez Viña, Governor Eduardo Piñate and the Sole Health Authority Dr. Darling Marín de Ramírez.
