Health Seremi Eduardo Barra stressed that although this is a priority for health officials, it is not mandatory.
As of Tuesday, more than 73,000 people can start receiving theirs bivalent vaccine against covid-19, in the Bío Bío region, which it will be administered annually by the national immunization program.
From this 11 October, until 6 November, they will concentrate two priority groups to receive the vaccine, these will be i health officials and chronic immunosuppressed patients over the age of 60.
The bivalent vaccine is authorized by Public Health Institute (ISP) for those over 12, so those under that age cannot yet be vaccinated and will have to wait for a pediatric vaccine.
The seremi of health, Eduardo Barra, commented that for health officials the vaccine is a priority, but not mandatory. However, professionals who do not want to be vaccinated must sign their refusal to inoculate.
“No one can be violated in its integrity regarding whether or not to take a vaccine, in fact, in the experience we have within the national immunization plan with the flu shotthere is a percentage of public and private health system officials who do not get vaccinated and who present their opposition“, Seremi assured.
