This was announced by the head of the catering department of the National Institute of Education of the Ministry of Education Lucia Mikhalchuk, writes BELTA.

“17 categories of students receive free meals. In total, more than 700,000 people will be covered with such meals,” said Lucia Mikhalchuk.

At the same time, it is possible to refuse school meals, Lucia Mikhalchuk explained.

According to her, the normative legal acts do not establish the obligatory power supply.

“In case of food refusal, a written statement from the parents is not required. At the same time, we are sure that every parent will make sure that the child receives hot meals at school,” the head of the department specified.
