There is a possibility that on the listed cars produced in the last seven years, an insufficiently tight impeller may be installed in the low-pressure fuel pumps, which runs the risk of unstuck. This threatens that fuel will penetrate into the material of the impeller, it will deform or crack. In some cases, contact between the impeller and the fuel pump housing may occur, which in turn may affect its performance.
If this happens, the Check Engine on the instrument panel will illuminate to indicate an engine malfunction, as well as other indicators. The engine itself may run unevenly. In some situations, the engine can stall while driving, which increases the risk of an emergency.
You can check if the car is subject to the recall by using the list of VIN numbers, listed on the Rosstandart website… The fuel pump will be replaced free of charge on these machines. The recall campaign starts on November 18, 2020.
