The soundtracks of Belgian films this fall. We previously wrote that “Zillion” had a better opening weekend than the blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” and attracted no less than 132,000 visitors in its first week. But the other Belgian press, ‘Close’, is also doing well in the cinema. Lumière announces that 68,797 people came to see director Lukas Dhont’s second feature this first week. The film would also score across Belgium. “The film is very successful in Wallonia and the turnout in Brussels can also be described as spectacular. In addition, ‘Close’ knows how to fascinate visitors to multiplexes and arthouse cinemas ”.

‘Close’, about the close friendship between two boys, has regularly won awards in recent weeks. The press was honored with a Grand Prix and awards followed at the Hamptons Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival and Film Fest Hamburg. ‘Close’ is also our country’s official Oscar nomination and has been nominated in four categories for the European Film Awards and for a British Independent Film Award (BIFA).
