Never before have so many positive results from corona tests been registered as between Thursday morning and Friday morning. The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) received 57,549 reports of new cases.
The number of positive tests is rising so fast that computer systems can’t keep up. The backlog has grown to about 30,000 positive tests over four days. These are infections that have been confirmed in recent days, but which could not yet be registered. By Thursday, the backlog was about 27,000 cases over three days.
