BGN 190,283,470 was received by 50,290 farmers under the state aid “Aid to support the liquidity of farmers to overcome the negative economic impact of Russian aggression against Ukraine” and “Aid to support the liquidity of farmers, producers of grain and oil crops” , to overcome the negative economic impact of Russian aggression against Ukraine”. By decision of the Council of Ministers, BGN 200 million were approved for payout of part of the second tranche under Ukrainian aid for 2024. For the deadlines regarding the second part of the second tranche today representatives of branch organizations are meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova. It started at 2 p.m.

Funds up to this BGN 200 million will be paid after additional administrative checks have been carried out in accordance with item 4 of Section II of the Guidelines for the implementation of the aid, according to which payment is also allowed after the deadline, in case of cases that require an additional examination of eligibility to assist the respective beneficiary.

The aid is provided in the form of direct grants to farmers from primary agricultural production – animal breeders, breeders of large and small ruminants, bee families, producers of fruit and vegetables, rose oil, wine vineyards, tobacco, wheat, corn, barley, sunflower and canola to offset some of the increased production costs.

The aid was disbursed only 3 days after the DFZ Management Board approved the budget for the partial payment of the second tranche of the Ukrainian aid.

The DF “Agriculture” recalls that in the spring the fund paid the full amount of the first tranche of the two Ukrainian schemes in the amount of over BGN 330 million. The support was provided to over 52,000 farmers.

The guidelines for applying the state aid are published on the DFZ website.
