More than 50 graphic artists will be at GrosaExpo 2023 – La Discusión

This Friday the launch of a new version of the GrosaExpo Festival was held, an event that has established itself as a launching and meeting platform for artists from all over the country. This year, the festival will take place in the center of the city, the Plaza de Armas, on November 24, 25 and 26, offering various activities from noon.

Paulina Muñoz Ainardi, director of the GrosaExpo Festival, said at the launch: “we want the community to feel art up close; For this reason, we have prepared a series of free workshops for all ages. From ceramics to lettering, there are different workshops for all audiences. In addition, we will have an extensive program that includes live music and open-air cinema.”

For her part, Scarlet Hidalgo, minister of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, said that the entity is looking forward to this work. “Above all, we are happy with the number of artists, more than 127 people applied to be able to be present and there will be 50 who will be able to be present. We strongly support these initiatives that promote culture. GrosaExpo is an example of how art can unite a community, and we are delighted to collaborate with these projects through the culture funds.”

Edgardo Venegas, director of the Directorate of Cultures, Art and Heritage of the Municipality of Chillán, added that “for us, as a municipality, it is very important to open these public spaces to art. Facilitating the Plaza de Armas for the holding of this festival is relevant for the community to participate in these spaces that belong to them.”

Not just graphics

Live music will be a constant during the festival, with performances of various genres. “The musical variety reflects the artistic diversity of the festival. We are happy for the performances of bands like Locomoción Colectiva, Zolfi, LoCatalira, Eje Abstracto, Flow en Notas, Dj Ignis and Vj Camilazer,” said Paulina Muñoz.

“The festival seeks to be an open invitation to the community to share, learn and enjoy this cultural encounter together during the three days,” the director of this free activity open to the public reaffirmed before the press.
