Mexicali, BC., Sept. 30, (AMEXI). The governor of Baja CaliforniaMarina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda reported that the entity has regularized more than 428 thousand vehicles of foreign origin, due to the extension of the federal decree.
The state president specifies that the extension of the federal decree allows the regularization of vehicles of foreign origin until September 26, 2026.
The decree, issued by the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador seeks to provide legal certainty to thousands of vehicle owners in the state and strengthen public safety.
Decree reaffirms commitment to promote policies for the good of citizens
Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda highlighted that the expansion of the federal decree reaffirms her administration’s commitment to continue promoting policies for the benefit of Baja California families.
He added that the above especially benefits low-income people, in addition to working to improve road infrastructure in the communities.
More than 428 thousand vehicles regularized in Baja California
The state president reports that as of September 26, 2024, 428,936 vehicles have been regularized in Baja California, according to figures from the Ministry of Finance (SHCP).
The governor stressed that this figure reflects significant progress in the creation of a reliable registry of vehicles circulating in the state.
More than 775 million pesos have been raised to finance works
Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda highlighted that the resources raised through the program amount to 775 million 760 thousand 962.50 pesos, which were allocated to the municipalities to finance paving works and road rehabilitation.
This fund has become crucial support to improve street conditions in several locations in the state.
Finally, the governor invited citizens to take advantage of the extension of the deadline to regularize their vehicles and continue with the process through the program’s official portal: https://regularizaauto.sspc.gob.mx.
