The university authority also indicated “the focus of the program: strengthening the social fabric and the participation of citizens in the construction of living spaces. To face them, trained social leaders are needed to influence housing and urban policies, focusing on the common good. All this undoubtedly affects universities in their essential functions of training people, generating critical knowledge and transferring knowledge. Better performance
The training program was a process of support and procedural support aimed at strengthening the social participation of groups related to housing committees in the region and Quiero Mi Barrio Barrio and Small Towns Programs. Likewise, he sought to strengthen the internal capabilities of the leaders through the development of educational sessions that dealt with topics such as: self-reinvention, the use of community management tools, effective communication and leadership, performance of leadership duties and functions. All this is being addressed to improve their ability to face the challenges associated with the implementation of housing programs in their communities.
Representing the social leaders, the president of the Lago Avendaño committee of the Quillón association, Oscar Fica Delgado, said, “This training was something that was expected for a long time and was expected for a long time because we need tools to move forward, to be able to. representation and delivery of specific solutions for the people we represent.
