More than 325,000 Colombians already have a fourth dose of the covid-19 vaccine

The Ministry of Health report also details that, from May 18 to 24, the number of doses distributed among the different collection and health centers in the regions remained at 90,893,736.

The document shows that There are already 35,743,500 Colombians who have the first dose of biologicals against covid-19, and the number of people who received their second dose rose to 29,409,479.

On the other hand, there are already 6,549,469 people in the country who have chosen to apply the Janssen single-dose vaccine. With these figures, the total number of nationals who completed their initial vaccination scheme, according to the health entity, is 35,958,948.

With vaccination slowed down due to the relative low incidence of the virus, the ministry and other health authorities are also committed to promoting the booster doses available to Colombians, so that four months after the end of the initial scheme, people can maintain the immune response against SARS-CoV-2, covid-19 virus.

On this figure, the report of the Ministry of Health states that in the last week the number of people who received a first booster – or third dose – reached 12,459,136.

As for the second reinforcement against covid-19, recently approved by the national government and the health portfolio for those over 50 years of age, in addition to immunosuppressed and transplanted people – who already had it available -, they were registered until last 24 of May a total of 325,130 Colombians who came for him.
