More than 3,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Lithuania and more than 1,500 in Estonia

Another 3,317 people were confirmed infected with the coronavirus in Lithuania last day, and 16 deaths caused by Covid-19 were registered, Statistics Lithuania announced on Saturday.


Approximately 22,500 analyzes were performed last day and the proportion of positive tests in seven days was 17.7%.

Since the start of the pandemic, 539,771 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection in the country.

A total of 7,524 people have died in Lithuania with Covid-19.

1044 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals, 96 of whom are in resuscitation.

According to the Department of Statistics, the 14-day cumulative number of infections per 100,000 population in Lithuania has increased to 1,032.

A total of 1,926,955 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Lithuania, including 1,100,930 people who have completed the course. 740,232 people were vaccinated.

More than 1,648 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus in Estonia last day, and three deaths were caused by Covid-19, the health department said on Saturday.

8292 analyzes were performed last day. A total of 2,582,994 tests have been performed in Estonia since the beginning of the pandemic to detect coronavirus infection.

The total number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 251,239.

A total of 1,954 people died in Estonia with Covid-19.

Hospitals currently treat 228 Covid-19 patients, 19 of whom are in intensive care units.
