More than 3,000 employees of daycare centers in Madeira tested until Friday

More than 3,000 employees of daycare centers and kindergartens in Madeira will be tested at covid-19 until Friday, so that these establishments reopen safely, said today the regional secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos.

“The approximately 3,300 employees of daycare centers and kindergartens will all be tested before the reopening, on June 1, of these establishments in order to provide a safe restart”, said Pedro Ramos in the Legislative Assembly, when examining, in general, the proposal for a regional legislative decree on the first amendment to the Madeira Health Service Statutes.

Pedro Ramos also clarified that the Region has the capacity to process the tests of visitors who arrive in Madeira, since the airports of the archipelago will reopen from the month of July.

“We have the capacity to test the number of people who arrive in Madeira,” he said, answering a question raised by PS deputy Victor Freitas.

In today’s debate, it was further defined that, considering the legal nature of the Regional Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira as a Public Business Entity, it is now designated SESARAM EPERAM, with the respective board of directors going from three to five members.

The Madeiran parliament also considered, in general, the draft resolution of the PSD and CDS / PP on the proposal to amend the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

The amendment introduced fixed, following the mandatory physical distance imposed by the pandemic covid-19, that “the votes expressed by the deputies present will be counted as representing the universe of the respective parliamentary group as long as more than two thirds of the deputies of each Group are present Parliamentary”.

The Assembly also considered the draft law proposal to the Assembly of the Republic, authored by the PSD, defending the “increase in deductions from the collection of education and training expenses, due to the covid-19 pandemic, amendment to the Tax Code on the Income of Individuals (IRS) ”.
