More than 300 illegal auto parts are seized in inspections in workshops in Parque Avellaneda and Barracas | Buenos Aires City

The City Police led inspections of mechanical workshops in the Parque Avellaneda and Barracas neighborhoods, in which they seized 310 illegal auto parts and charged three men as responsible for the premises.

Personnel from the Automotive and Auto Parts Theft Division, dependent on the Property Crimes Department, carried out inspections of workshops with the collaboration of the Government Control Agency (AGC), after an investigation in which it was verified that the premises were They collected illegal items.

The first target was a workshop located at 4200 Echeandía Street, in Parque Avellaneda, where the officers found 44 illegal auto parts: 4 cylinder covers, three crankcase covers, three complete shock absorbers, 19 gearboxes, three engine blocks with adulterated numbering, a radiator, a manifold cover, two alternators, two air conditioning compressors and six complete brake hubs.

In addition, a 36-year-old man of Paraguayan nationality was charged with violating Law 25,761, by provision of the South Flagrancy Unit, led by Dr. Giselle Luna.

Then, the officers went to 3500 Iriarte Avenue, in Barracas, where they had investigated two workshops, where it was found that auto parts were stored in violation of Law 25,761.

When checking the premises, it was verified that there were 67 auto parts of dubious origin, among which thirteen doors stood out with the engraving that had a request for active kidnapping for theft, engines, fenders, gearbox, rear doors and bumpers, with a value market value of ten million pesos.

The Criminal, Contraventional and Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office Number 35 for Complex Crimes intervened here, headed by Dr. Celsa Ramírez, Secretary of Dr. González, and ordered the seizure of the auto parts and the charging of two men, aged 24 and 45.

Additionally, on San Juan Bautista De La Salle Avenue at 2100, in Parque Avellaneda, the officers found in a body and paint shop some 199 auto parts without documentation, including 106 bumpers, thirteen doors, nine hoods, 25 fenders, seven headlights. , 23 rearview mirrors, four tailgates and twelve grills.

In this place, the person responsible was a 56-year-old man.

The South Flagrancy Unit, headed by Dr. Giselle Luna, was consulted, who ordered the seizure of all the elements and the notification of the accused of violation of articles 29 and 30 of the City’s Criminal Procedure Code.
