The State Security Corps and Forces have filed some 260 complaints against those attending the demonstrations held yesterday in the two provincial capitals by deniers of the mask.
The delegate of the Government in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, has indicated that in the concentrations held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and which had been legally authorized, a series of rules were breached, some of them agreed with the conveners .
Among them was maintaining physical distance and wearing a mask.
For these breaches, 260 complaints or sanctions proposals have been made, especially for the non-use of the mask.
The Government delegate has also affirmed that a dozen complaints have also been filed on the island of La Palma for the holding of an unauthorized demonstration.
Pestana has insisted on social awareness and the rational use of the measures recommended by health workers and has warned that those who do not comply with them will be persecuted because they put health and economic reactivation at risk.
“It has cost us so much to get out of this state of alarm so that the irresponsibility of a few affects the majority,” said Pestana.
The rallies held yesterday, in the two Canarian capitals, brought together about 500 people, the largest being that of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which was attended by more than 300 people.
