New York.- More than 2,000 flights to, from or within the United States were delayed this Sunday due to bad weather, in a busy weekend after the Thanksgiving holiday.
According to tracking site FlightAware, in addition to the delayed flights, 59 flights were canceled to, from, or within the United States.
Several New York airports have informed passengers of the delays and are urging them to arrive early.
“Get there early if you’re traveling during the #Thanksgiving holiday travel period,” LaGuardia Airport said.
The same warning was given by John F. Kennedy Airport.
According to CNN, a storm system will move from the Mississippi River Valley northeast, bringing widespread rain and gusty winds.
