More than 2,000 Scouts mobilize to face the emergency

The recent DANA that has hit the Valencian Community It has left a devastating impact in numerous localities, but it has also shown the strength of solidarity and volunteerism. The response of the groups that make up Scouts Valencians It has been immediate and multifaceted from the first moment. Among the actions that have been carried out, the collection and distribution of food, cleaning products, personal hygiene items and clothing for the most affected people stand out.

In addition, they have played a key role in cleaning streets, homes and commercial premises, as well as sorting donations in warehouses and municipal centers in the affected municipalities. In many cases, brigades have been organized to distribute hot food and basic necessities directly to homes; All of this has also meant strong emotional support for those who have experienced moments of great vulnerability.

A call with a response from Scouts from all over Spain

The Scouting movement at the national level has also responded to this emergency situation. More than 1,200 volunteers from ASDE Scouts of Spain of which other communities such as Murcia, Melilla, Madrid, La Rioja, Galicia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Cantabria and Andalusia are part, have collaborated by collecting donations, organizing solidarity activities and traveling to the most affected points to help in the logistics or in cleaning brigades.
