The Ministry of Health reports that, as of today’s cut-off date, Tuesday, February 21, according to data from the Department of Health Information Statistics (DEIS), 2,014,346 doses of Bivalent COVID-19 Vaccine have been administered, corresponding to 24 .19% coverage of the target population estimated at 8,325,856 people.
Of the total doses administered, 178,744 correspond to health personnel under 50 years of age (46.92% coverage); 135,924 to people with chronic diseases under 50 years of age (12.86% coverage); 331,762 people between 50 and 59 years old (14.42% coverage); 568,499 people between 60 and 69 years old (32.82% coverage); 482,830 people from 70 to 79 years old (48.92%); 256,249 people aged 80 and over (51.29% coverage); and 60,338 to people from other prioritized groups under 50 years of age (4.41% coverage).
Regarding the primary vaccination schedules against SARS-CoV-2, which considers a target population of 15,200,840 people aged 18 and over, 94.3% (14,334,071) have completed their vaccination schedule.
During today’s session, Tuesday, February 21, from the target group of 18 years and over, 214 people were immunized. Meanwhile, in the target group between 3 and 17 years old, 1,278 people were immunized.

Regarding the reinforcement doses applied in the population over 3 years of age in the country, a total of 27,489,759 is reached. On the last day, 1,187 doses were administered, of which 170 correspond to people aged 18 and over, and 1,017 between 3 and 17 years.

In relation to the vaccination of children and adolescents between 3 and 17 years of age, which includes a total of 3,771,960 people, 89.29% (3,367,838) coverage is achieved with a complete scheme. In the group between 12 and 17 years old, 98.59% (1,474,083) of coverage with a complete scheme is registered, while the group between 6 and 11 years old reaches 90.78% (1,406,796), and in the group between 3 and 5 years 66.97% (486,959).
