The Ministry of Health reports that, as of today, Friday, February 24, according to data from the Department of Health Information Statistics (DEIS), 2,059,147 doses of Bivalent COVID-19 Vaccine have been administered, corresponding to 24 .73% coverage of the target population estimated at 8,325,856 people.
Of the total doses administered, 181,161 correspond to health personnel under 50 years of age (47.56% coverage); 141,754 people with chronic diseases under 50 years of age (13.41% coverage); 345,945 to people between 50 and 59 years of age (15.04% coverage); 578,051 people between 60 and 69 years old (33.37% coverage); 486,736 people from 70 to 79 years old (49.42%); 258,683 to people aged 80 and over (51.78% coverage); and 64,817 to people from other prioritized groups under 50 years of age (4.18% coverage).
Regarding the primary vaccination schedules against SARS-CoV-2, which considers a target population of 15,200,840 people aged 18 and over, 94.3% (14,334,191) have completed their vaccination schedule.
During today’s session, Friday, February 24, from the target group of 18 years and over, 204 people were immunized. Meanwhile, in the target group between 3 and 17 years old, 1,734 people were immunized.

Regarding the reinforcement doses applied in the population over 3 years of age in the country, a total of 27,496,449 is reached. On the last day, 1,637 doses were administered, of which 157 correspond to people aged 18 and over, and 1,480 between 3 and 17 years of age.

In relation to the vaccination of children and adolescents between 3 and 17 years of age, which includes a total of 3,771,960 people, 89.3% (3,368,380) coverage is achieved with a complete scheme. In the group between 12 and 17 years old, 98.59% (1,474,096) of coverage is registered with the complete scheme, while the group between 6 and 11 years old reaches 90.78% (1,406,843), and in the group between 3 and 5 years 67.04% (487,441).
