More than 170,000 homes along Canada’s Atlantic coast are without power due to tropical storm

CCTV News Client News On September 16, local time, Hurricane Lee will land on the Atlantic coast of Canada at tropical storm level. Affected by this, more than 170,000 households in the area have lost power.
As of around 12:00 local time on the 16th, 135,100 houses in Nova Scotia, Canada, and more than 35,600 houses in New Brunswick were without power.
Environment Canada says waves of 4 to 6 meters are possible along Nova Scotia’s mid-Atlantic coast, and a storm surge warning is currently in effect.
The storm is also expected to bring more than 100 millimeters of rain to some areas. Environment Canada is warning of possible flooding in parts of Nova Scotia and southwestern New Brunswick, including St. John’s and Moncton. (Headquarters reporter Zhang Sen)
