More than 150 injured in protests in Lebanon

In the Lebanese capital Beirut, more than 150 demonstrators were injured in collisions with security forces. Riots broke out during a march of thousands of protesters against the ruling elite.

Stones and fireworks were thrown at the police, and metal gates and traffic signs were pulled out of the ground and thrown at the police. The security forces deploy tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd.

According to the Red Cross, 65 people were treated in the hospital. Another 100 injured people could be helped on the spot.
