Eight additional vaccination points were implemented this Saturday in the vaccination operation carried out by the Primary Health Care of Calama in the René Schneider population sports center, where more than 1,000 doses of covid vaccines were administered. Initiative that was entrusted by the mayor of Calama, Eliecer Chamorro, in his concern to bring vaccines closer to families who cannot attend the vaccination sites due to work or study issues.

Macarena Silva, a technical advisory nurse at the Comdes Health Department, said that “in relation to the previous Saturday that we carried out the operation, today 18 vaccination points were placed because we knew that the flow of people was going to be greater. In this way, 1,076 doses of covid vaccines were administered, of which 888 corresponded to the third and fourth doses, in addition to 383 Influenza inoculations, generating a total of 1,459 doses administered, 200 more than the operation carried out the previous Saturday.
