More than 12 thousand ESAVIs are reported for covid vaccine in Mexico

In Mexico there have been 12 thousand 308 Events Supposedly Attributable to Vaccination and Immunization (esaV) during the national inoculation campaign against coronavirus, reported Ricardo Cortés Alcalá, Director of Health Promotion.

During the afternoon conference, the federal official pointed out that only 0.2 percent of the total vaccines applied in the country have generated an ESAVI. In total, 5.6 million doses have been applied.

In addition, he said that only 97 cases of the 12 thousand 308 ESAVI have been serious, of which 17 patients remain hospitalized.

Of the total registered ESAVIs, 11,698 were after the application of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, 419 from AstraZeneca, 98 from Sinovac and 93 from Sputnik V.

According to what was presented, Aguascalientes, Campeche, Coahuila, Durango, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí and Yucatán have a person hospitalized for ESAVI; while Hidalgo, Oaxaca and Mexico City have two.
