Since the beginning of 2024, more than 11 thousand trees and 56 thousand bushes have been planted in urban areas. This data was provided by the General Director of Minskzelenstroy Alexander Ermolovich, reports “Minsk News”.
He noted that the decline of green areas in the capital accounts for 2-3% of the total number of plants planted. This is not above the norm.
“For the first two or three years, care is very important for young plantings. First, this is irrigation, especially during dry periods. We do it both during the day and at night. Therefore, residents do not always see this process. To water each tree we use about 30 liters of water at the same time,” said Ermolovich.
Soon, it is planned to plant more than 15 thousand rose bushes. They will appear in all areas of the capital.
