More than 100,000 signatures against Dutch test event: …

The petition against the 538 Orange Day test event in Breda has already been signed more than 106,000 times in 24 hours. The local hospital is also opposed to the event.

Surgeon Rogier Crolla and his employees of the Amphia Hospital in Breda think as ‘concerned care providers, patients on the increasingly longer waiting lists, their loved ones and others’ that ‘this ill-considered pseudo-experiment’ should be called off.

538 Orange Day is one of the new Fieldlab experiments in the Netherlands. The party will take place on April 24 for 10,000 people at the Chasséveld in Breda. The initiators of the petition do not understand this at all. ‘Celebrating a party with 10,000 people 400 meters from a hospital overloaded by COVID is a blow to patients and caregivers,’ they write.

The enthusiasm for the tickets for the event was enormous: more than 1 million people tried to get a ticket. The cards were distributed by draw.
