French Prime Minister Castex defended the plans during a visit to the coastal town of Anglet. He said vaccination is the only way to fight the virus. “I think we have to convince our fellow citizens to get vaccinated at all costs,” he said. “It’s the best way to deal with this health crisis.”

Earlier today it became clear that France is tightening the entry ban for tourists from the Netherlands and other countries. People who want to enter the country need a negative corona test result from midnight that is not older than 24 hours. Travelers may be asked for their test certificate at airports, train stations and roads. That may be a PCR or an antigen test. Anyone who cannot show this must be in (self) quarantine.
The Dutch corona certificate, via the CoronaCheck app is valid, so reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
