On the evening of January 21, at Vinh Loc urban residential area, the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor (Confederation of Labor) organized the opening program “Worker’s Day – Gratitude Market” for the Lunar New Year of the Dragon in 2024, with the theme titled “Encouraging non-cash payments”.
The program attracted more than 1,000 trade union members, Worker Workers and local people come to visit and shop.
Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the City Confederation of Labor Pham Chi Tam said that the program “Worker’s Day – Gratitude Market” with the theme “Encouraging non-face payments” is organized in two forms: online market and in-person market, thereby taking care of 11,500 difficult union members, with a total amount of more than 5.5 billion VND.
“Organizing markets helps trade union members have many opportunities to choose and purchase items that meet each family’s needs, contributing to making the Tet holidays of union members’ families full and warm. more pressing and joyful” – Mr. Tam said.
The market is held for 7 days from January 21 to 27, 2024 at Street 3, Vinh Loc urban residential area, Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District. Through this, to take care of 5,000 union members, each union member is given 500,000 VND to shop at the market and pay through Zalo pay e-wallet.
At the same time, mobilize trade union members and workers to respond to the campaign “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods” and digital transformation of the city.
On this occasion, the City Labor Confederation gave 300 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, whose working hours were reduced, labor contracts were suspended, and leave without pay due to businesses having reduced orders in Binh Tan district. , Tan Phu, Tan Binh, Binh Chanh district and the Trade Union of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of the city.
