ERP. More than 10,000 livestock producers from 8 agrarian agencies in 64 districts have been receiving technical assistance in health, training and the provision of vitamins, antiparasitics and medicines for cattle, sheep, goats and guinea pigs as part of the project “Creation and Improvement of Research Services, Technology Transfer, Health and Livestock Marketing in the Department of Piura”.

Such initiative is executed by the Regional Directorate of Agriculture in the 8 provinces of the region. Likewise, this productive project prioritizes the genetic improvement of the different species of livestock, with the aim of improving the quality of the meat and its derived products.
The Livestock PIP also contemplates the development of competitiveness in small producers, the improvement of cattle with artificial insemination, fertilization, and the improvement in the commercialization of their products, promoting associativity for the benefit of thousands of producers.
With this work, the Piura Regional Directorate of Agriculture seeks to improve the economic income and quality of life of thousands of ranchers in the region. Among the intervention areas are: Huancabamba, Ayabaca, Morropón, Sechura, Chulucanas and the San Lorenzo and Chira valleys.
The livestock project has an execution term of 3 years with an investment of 17,654,686.32 soles.
