More than 10 million: that’s how much the Dutch royal family earns | Royalty

RoyaltyThe Dutch King Willem Alexander, Queen Máxima, Princess Amalia and Princess Beatrix will receive 10.5 million euros as income and expenditure for personnel and equipment this year, the Dutch newspaper AD reports.

The king’s personal income is called the A component of the benefit. It is untaxed and will go through the million for the first time this year. Last year that was 998,000 euros, now his income is 1 million. Queen Máxima also touches a limit: last year it was 396,000 euros, now it is 400,000.

Princess Beatrix will receive 600,000 euros, last year that was 564,000 euros.

Amalia returns

Crown Princess Amalia received an income of 20,000 euros as a minor last year and could now claim a personal income of 300,000 euros. She returns it, because she experiences a feeling of discomfort during a gap year in which she does nothing for the state of the Netherlands.

The incomes of the aforementioned members of the Royal House consist of an A component of the income and the B component of which personnel and material expenses are incurred.

The king touches 5.1 million euros for personnel and equipment, for Máxima that is 700,000 euros. Princess Amalia would receive 1.4 million for personnel and material expenses, but will return it. Princess Beatrix will receive 1.1 million for this.

Over 18 million from other ministries

Other ministries also pull the wallet for the Oranges. For the planned incoming and outgoing state visits, 2 million will be earmarked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And 16 million euros is for the palaces and other housing, paid for by the Interior. The family ship De Groene Draeck costs 87,000 euros to maintain.
