The COVID-19 pandemic has now infected more than 10 million people and killed more than 500,000 worldwide. The new coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in the United States and appears to be gaining strength in China.
The United States was the country with the most deaths (125,747), ahead of Brazil (57,622), the United Kingdom (43,550), Italy (34,738) and France (29,778).
Europe is the continent with the most deaths (190,000), but the epicenter of the pandemic is now in Latin America (2.1 million cases and 82,000 deaths), where it particularly strikes Brazil (1, 3 million cases).
Return to normal continues in many countries, but the pace of the pandemic continues to accelerate worldwide: the number of reported cases has doubled since May 21, and more than one million new cases of COVID -19 have been recorded in the last six days.
