The Hague – Partly shutting down coal-fired power stations from an environmental point of view turns out to be much more expensive than expected. It also plays into Vladimir Putin’s hands because Russian gas is now being used as an alternative. This means that Dutch policy against coal-fired power stations is bankrupt, according to the House of Representatives and energy experts.
