At the end of November, we were already able to share the rumor that Square Enix may be working on a remaster/remake of the PlayStation classic Chrono Cross. That rumor then came through the mouth of XboxEra founder Nick Baker. At the time, however, it was unclear whether this was a remake or a remaster.
The rumors are now being exaggerated, because Gematsu discovered the existence of a mysterious website revealing a collaboration between Japanese studio WFS and Square Enix. The website says there will be a livestream on December 4 that revolves around a crossover for the JRPG Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space.
The story doesn’t end there though, Reddit a user discovered that the latest update to Another Eden contains files pointing to Chrono Cross. It is therefore quite possible that WFS made a mistake and revealed (part of) the upcoming livestream on December 4.
