More resources are available to civil society organizations than ever before

On behalf of the organizers, Zsuzsanna Zugor, president of the Echo Innovation Workshop, welcomed the participants. In his speech, he called it an honor that Székesfehérvár can host a meeting of communities active in this important area, which is also a good opportunity to present and discuss current events affecting the civil sphere. Zsuzsanna Zugor also highlighted the importance of professional cooperation among the participants of the network of civil offices celebrating its eleventh birthday this year, which can help the sector through the next, more difficult period. As he said, in the last nearly 20 years, thanks to EU funds, the sector has gained a lot of momentum, but at the same time, they are facing a challenging period. He listed the involvement of young people and the further development of the network among the priority tasks of the next cycle.

In his presentation, the Deputy State Secretary responsible for civil and social relations of the Prime Minister’s Office presented the current tender opportunities. Vince Szalay-Bobrovnicky highlighted that more resources are available to civil organizations than at any time before. As he put it: it is welcome news that the resources have not decreased, but have increased. This is especially true for NEA, which rose from 11 to 14 billion. And the Municipal Civil Fund was announced for 4.8 billion, he said. The deputy state secretary emphasized that applications for the Municipal Civil Fund can be submitted until 12:00 on October 2, and then a few hours later, at 2:00 p.m., the first call for tenders of the National Cooperation Fund will be published.
