More rapid tests now – also in the country

Not only commuters and customers of hairdressers, masseurs and similar professionals regularly need their proof that they are not infected. The “body-friendly service providers” themselves – as it is called in political and official German – have to take the test.

120,000 per week as a new goal

In the past week, 23,000 people across the state had themselves tested on one of the free test roads. From next week that should be a lot more, that’s what the State of Salzburg is assuming. There is always a new test obligation for commuters, “body-hugging service providers” and their customers.

There are currently 14 test locations in all districts on weekdays and one location on Saturday per district, plus nine locations that are open from time to time. In addition, there are now free test options at two pharmacies – in Flachgau and Pongau. Four general practitioners also want to offer free CoV tests.

Land “cushions white spots”

With the new regulation, all “white spots on the test card are to be cushioned”, as it literally means in official German for the state. You can still get tested at many other pharmacies or general practitioners – but only for a fee.

Unbureaucratic free tests: pharmacists want to help

Salzburg pharmacists want to be integrated unbureaucratically into the state’s strategy with CoV antigen rapid tests and have the costs of tests reimbursed by the authorities.
