More presumptuous, NATO scouts Russian warships in the Mediterranean Sea

MOSCOW – NATO frigates attempt to conduct electronic reconnaissance on Russian ships during a naval unit exercise in the Mediterranean Sea.

The report was disclosed by a source to Sputnik, Wednesday (16/2/2022). Moscow has repeatedly voiced concern over NATO intensifying its activities near Russia’s borders.

Nato’s actions were deemed increasingly precipitous when the West continued to accuse Russia of planning to “invade” Ukraine.

“The NATO frigate attempted to carry out electronic reconnaissance of Russian ships during a scheduled training episode by the Russian Navy in the eastern Mediterranean on Tuesday (15/2/2022),” the source said.

The crew of a Russian missile cruiser warship detected radar emissions from NATO ships. The Russian military determined their location and brought them under escort.

Russia’s military exercises in the Mediterranean, which began Tuesday, involve 15 warships and more than 30 Russian Air Force aircraft.
