The municipality of Zwartewaterland (Overijssel) had by far the most corona cases. Converted here, 1,345 positive corona tests per 100,000 inhabitants were reported. In addition to Zwartewaterland, 8 other Biblebelt municipalities are in the top 10 of the municipalities where the most infections were reported last week.
This concerns the municipalities of Renswoude, Neder-Betuwe, Scherpenzeel, Urk, Hardinxveld, Giessendam, Reimerswaal, Staphorst and Oldebroek. In Staphorst (-42 percent) and Scherpenzeel (-31 percent), the number of infections decreased compared to last week.

More infections almost everywhere
At least one new positive test was reported this week in almost all municipalities. And in 312 of the 352 Dutch municipalities, more corona cases were reported this week than a week earlier.
The number of newly reported corona infections decreased in only 32 municipalities. Only the municipalities of Vlieland and Schiermonnikoog remained completely corona-free last week.

Most corona cases in Limburg
The number of corona cases rose in all 25 security regions. In proportion, most new corona cases have been reported in Limburg-North and Limburg-South. In Limburg-North, 526 new positive tests per 100,000 inhabitants were reported. In Limburg-South there were 461.
The fewest corona cases were reported in the Groningen region last week. Here, 177 new positive corona tests per 100,000 inhabitants were reported. Last week there were 112.
