Bad Vilbel (pm). Choosing a career is one of the most difficult tasks that young people face at the end of their school years. Around 200 students from Bad Vilbel and Karben schools recently received answers to questions about more than 40 career profiles and study subjects, including many apprenticeships: The Rotary Club from the spring town held its career information day for the 23rd time.
From pilot to retail
More than 25 professional practitioners provided information, for example, about the professions of pilot, retail salesman, engineer, tax consultant, lawyer, doctor, police officer or about the diverse options for dual study. As was the case last year, the focus of most discussions during this apprenticeship or study period was on technical requirements, career opportunities and earning potential, the Rotarians write.
The location of the event was new because the Georg-Büchner-Gymnasium had opened its new auditorium for it and this also motivated many GBG students to come to the career information evening. This also made it possible to significantly increase the number of participants compared to the previous year. Information about the club, which has existed for more than 25 years, can be found at bad-vilbel.rotary.de/.
