Ford has had great success with the electric Mustang Mach-E in Norway. And it will be more exciting. Ford now reveals that they are fully committed to electric cars in the coming years. Three new cars and four vans are planned before the end of 2024. All the cars will be built in Europe.
The first car, which will be a cross between a regular passenger car and an SUV, will arrive next year. It will be built on the same MEB platform that VW, among other things, used for its ID.4. It will have a range of around 500 kilometers and will be shown publicly later this year.

Sporty crossover
The other car will be something Ford calls a “sports crossover”. This will also be built on the same platform and will probably be a coupe version of the first.
This is how VW has done when they have launched ID.5 as a sporty version of ID.4 and Skoda with the Coupé model as a more sporty variant of the family car Enyaq. This is scheduled to come to Norway in 2024.
Then comes an electric version of Ford’s most popular car in Europe at the moment – the Puma. This is a compact SUV the size of Hyundai Kona Electric, MG ZS EV and VW ID.3.
Exciting Puma
Ford has not yet revealed what we can expect from the prices, range or other technology of the electric Puma. To be competitive, it should be able to drive over 400 kilometers.
Can become a new favorite
When we tested the Puma some time ago, the conclusion was that it had a surprisingly good interior space to measure only 4.19 meters from bumper to bumper. Among other things, it has the largest luggage compartment in the class. In addition, we commented that the car had an impressive amount of equipment as standard. Electric Puma is to be built in Romania. The hybrid version of the car, which is sold in Norway today, costs from 340,000 kroner.
In the middle of nowhere for Norway
All three electric cars are very exciting for Norway. They exactly hit the taste of Norwegian car buyers: The combination electric car and SUV / crossover.
The electric vans that Ford will build are two versions of Transit and two versions of Tourneo. Two of the cars will come to Norway next year. The last two and largest vans in 2024.
