More money for workers in the metal trade

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – From April there will be more money for workers in the metalworking industry in Baden-Württemberg. The collective bargaining parties have agreed on an increase of 1.2 percent with a rather short term until the end of October, as IG Metall announced on Thursday. In addition, there is a one-time tax-free corona bonus of 250 euros, which is to be paid out by June. Both trainees and students should also receive the full amount. According to the Metalworkers’ Association, exceptions to the premium are possible on request for companies that are not doing well economically. According to the union, around 40,000 people are employed in the industry in the south-west, 32,000 on the employers’ side.
