Saudi Arabian Railways has announced that it will increase the number of Makkah-Madinah Haramain train services in view of the increase in the number of pilgrims during Ramadan. Railways also stated that the pilgrims are availing the high speed train service. More Haramain train on Ramzan
The 453-km long high-speed railway network has five stations including Makkah and Madinah stations, including Sulaymaniyah in Jeddah, Jeddah King Abdulaziz Airport and Rabigh King Abdullah Economic City. Saudi Arabian Railways has announced that it plans to run more than 100 services during Ramadan.

During Ramadan and during the Haj pilgrimage, the Jeddah Airport will be heavily trafficked to Makkah and Madinah. Considering this, more services are planned. Since the inception of the Haramain train in October 2018, the number of services has crossed 25000. There are currently two services per hour on the Makkah-Madinah route. Officials said there are 58 daily services from Jeddah to Makkah and 26 from the airport.
