More representatives of the Forum for Democracy (FVD) are critical of Thierry Baudet’s actions. Several FVD celebrities rally behind the party’s board. Senate member Nicki Pouw-Verweij says according to The Telegraph to fear that Baudet has radicalized and believes in corona plot theories.

Baudet came under fire last week because, according to party members, he did too little to tackle expressions of anti-Semitism in the party’s youth movement. He retired as political leader and chairman earlier this week. But he reversed that decision on Wednesday by announcing a top candidate election and putting himself forward. He is also alleged to have taken over social media accounts from the party.
Brussels FVD members also support party government
The group of FVD in the European Parliament also supports the party leadership. Baudet’s actions “show little professionalism, integrity and reliability”, write MEPs in a statement.
The group states that “clear agreements” had been made. Baudet would step down as chairman and political leader. In order to keep him in the party, “a switch” would have been proposed to release a seat in the European Parliament for him.
