MS Westerdam
The cruise ship MS Westerdam has been roaming the East China Sea for a few days. The ship is not allowed to moor anywhere yet. There are more than 2200 people on board the Holland-America Line (HAL) ship, 91 of whom are Dutch.
The cruise departed from Hong Kong on 1 February and was en route to the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan, but was denied in the ports. According to Japanese Prime Minister Abe, there are probably infected people on board.
In a statement HAL writes that the ship is not in quarantine and that there are no infections on board. As a broker, passengers receive free wine and beer with their dinner.
