The mayor of Yakoruda, Nuredin Kafelov, was found dead at around 4.30 pm on the road in the Treshtenik area, 5-6 kilometers above Yakoruda. He was in the car. He was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Forensic experts are conducting an inspection. Kafelov has valid weapons permits.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Blagoevgrad district prosecutor’s office, checking all the versions and circumstances surrounding Kafelov’s death.
