The Vaccination Task Force has provided additional information about the vaccination campaign for the booster dose. After the invitations for the priority groups have been sent, the campaign for 18 to 64 year olds follows. 1.3 million people have already received a third dose. Currently, 4.5 million other adults are eligible for a booster.
The timing for this follows the interval 2-4-6. This means that the timing of the invitation depends on the first vaccine you received. Those who received Johnson & Johnson have already been invited, because scientific research shows that booster shots are best after a period of two months. Those who previously received AstraZeneca will receive a booster after a minimum of 4 months. An interval of 6 months applies to Moderna and Pfizer.

There are sufficient vaccines in stock, and the campaign is expected to end around March 2022.
At this time Booster shots are already being given to people with underlying immunity problems, residents of rest home, the over-65s and health professionals. By the end of this month, the rest home residents (about 150,000 people) should all have received their booster, by the end of the year everyone with immune problems (about 400,000 people) and by the end of January 2022 the over-65s (about 2 million people) and the care employees (about 500,000 people). Invitations have also been sent out for those under 65 who have been vaccinated with Johnson & Johnson (about 360,000 people). They must be poked with a booster by mid-January.
From December the first booster shots will be given to people under the age of 65 who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine (about 510,000 people). The aim is that they can all receive their third shot by the end of January 2022.
The end of January all those groups should be vaccinated with a booster shot. From January, those who received Moderna or Pfizer (4.1 million people) will receive an invitation, the entire campaign should be completed by mid-April. Within that group, the order is determined according to the date of the previous injection and the age.
Next week, the Q-Vax and Bruvax systems will also be back online, allowing appointments to be recorded by people who do not want to wait for their invitation. The first invitations for the booster shots for 18 to 64-year-olds will also be sent, according to the 2-4-6 rule.
