“More daring. More elegant. The same legendary stability. The new Honda Accord 2023”

“Accord is and remains Honda’s ambassador to the world”.

This was stated in the official press release of the company, which accompanies several teaser photos of the eleventh generation of the model. “Bolder. More elegant. The same legendary stability. The new Honda Accord 2023,” added the brand’s social media post.

The car will be officially unveiled in November of this year, and then we’ll see its overall design and the extras it has.

Shots of the sedan show a different front with an elegant yet distinctive grille, narrow and elongated headlights and a different engine hood.

According to these indicators, the Accord will be even closer to the Honda Civic sedan, which also received a major redesign in its latest eleventh generation. We also see similar headlights and a front cover on the Honda Prologue, the electric SUV that is about to hit the market.

The elements and shapes of the LEDs are almost the same in all three Honda models.

Bright LED lights are also seen in the rear, which run from one end of the car to the other. The central part of the back is reserved for the company logo positioned between the lights.

Unfortunately, the pictures show no more, at least not in the exterior design. There is no surprise in the color shown in the product images and we are seeing the same red that Honda calls the “Candied Apple” color. Small inscriptions under the taillights suggest that the Honda Accord will most likely come in several versions.

It is almost certain that the car will not be fully electric for now, but there will most likely be hybrid variants, especially for the European and Australian market.

From Car and Driver suggests there will be a cheaper version with an internal combustion engine and at least one hybrid which will be more expensive.

Honda promises that what we see in November “will bring the excitement back to midsize sedans,” though the Accord has won dozens of awards and has little to prove in its class.

So far, there is only one photo of the interior, showing the 12.3-inch infotainment display. And yes, the screen suggests that we are talking about a hybrid or electric car, because there is a field for the remaining mileage and a basis that can only be on an electric car.

The current hybrid version of the Honda Accord has two electric motors and a 2-liter engine that manages to deliver 181 horsepower. However, the Honda CR-V’s hybrid system now reaches 204 horsepower, which we hope to see in the Accord as well.

For now, it’s clear that the car won’t hit the US market, or at least not in this form.

Ironically or not, but most likely the new one Honda Accord will be produced in North American territory.

There, the company owns a total of 18 factories that meet all the conditions to produce both cars with internal combustion engines as well as electric and hybrid cars.

This is exactly what the Japanese brand needs to produce the “fun to drive” sedan it promises will be the 2023 Honda Accord.
