More Dallas Cowboys players to sick list for COVID-19 – Telemundo Dallas (39)

Two other Dallas Cowboys starters are expected to miss Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles after testing positive for COVID-19, the team reported.

Head coach Mike McCarthy said during Thursday morning’s press conference that offensive tackle Tyron Smith and cornerback Anthony Brown were added to the COVID-19 sick list.

On Wednesday, the team added rookie linebacker Micah Parsons to the COVID-19 protocol list, and McCarthy said Thursday that he will not travel to Philadelphia.

McCarthy said there are other guys who are sick but have not yet tested positive and that more names could be added to that list before the team leaves for Philadelphia.

The Cowboys’ regular season finale was originally scheduled for Sunday, but earlier this week it was changed to Saturday night.

The Cowboys, who are 11-5 on the year, are currently No. 4 in the playoffs and are likely to stay that spot, win or lose on Saturday.

McCarthy said the players who are ill have not changed the team’s game plan for Saturday night.

The coach added that moving the game from Week 18 to Saturday will give the team an extra day to recharge their batteries and restore health to those who are ill before the Wild Card round begins the following weekend.

They are the glitz and glamor of game day, world-class entertainers. And this year they celebrate 6 decades as an organization.
