Let’s go back to August 2020: last year, around this time there were about 300 covid patients in Belgian hospitals. The first peak of the corona curves was behind us.
Now, a year and two peaks later, hospital figures are rising strongly again: yesterday there were 494 covid patients in hospital, 124 of whom were in intensive care. But, says epidemiologist Boudewijn Catry in “The morning” on Radio 1, the situation is still favourable. (Read more below the chart.)
